Movies - Frank Miller Clarifies Rumors

RottenTomatoes spoke to Frank Miller, who cleared up a few rumors and talked briefly about his new graphic novel and his interest in 3D.

Miller's film "The Spirit," which he is directing himself, is "a masked adventure up against all kinds of nasty people and all kinds of beautiful women. Lionsgate are negotiating with Samuel L. Jackson to play the main villain; The Octopus. As far as I know the negotiations are going fine."

We've also been hearing that "Sin City 2" might not happen at all, but Miller is confident that it will. "Sin City 2 is still likely to happen, just not right away," he said. "The script is written and Robert [Rodriguez] and I are raring to go, but it looks like I'm going to be doing 'The Spirit' first and Robert's going to be doing 'Barbarella' first."

Talking about his latest graphic novel, entitled "Batman vs. Al Qaeda," Miller explained: "It's bound to offend just about everybody."
With all the rumors recently that "Sin City 2" might not happen, it's nice to know from the man himself that it will probably happen eventually, just not right away. As much as I am pumped to see another Sin City movie, I am also very excited to see Rodriguezs' "Barbarella" and Miller's "The Spirit" (in possibly 3D?). So I feel the delay isn't so bad since we're going to be seeing other films in it's place.
