Video Games - Starcraft 2 Announced

"So it's finally official. This morning, Blizzard announced at their Worldwide Invitational in Korea that Starcraft 2 will be returning to PCs everywhere - after nine years of waiting.

It's not the "World of Starcraft" that many had speculated, but a real-time strategy, just like its predecessor. At this time, Blizzard has given the following details:

• New units and gameplay mechanics will further distinguish races
  
• Some of the original units will have new abilities - no word on which ones
  
• Features a 3D engine offering "realistic physics and the ability to render several large, highly detailed units and massive armies on-screen simultaneously."
• The map editor is returning
• There will be both a single player and multiplayer modes.
• It will be released for both the Mac and PC.

No release date has been given yet, but hopefully it will be sooner than later."
